The Union announces - with the greatest of sadness - the sudden death of Newark Branch Secretary, Jack Richardson on 21 April.

Jack recently celebrated his 80th birthday, 34 years as Union Branch Secretary and 51 years of membership of the T&G.  The Lincoln District was proud and honoured to pay tribute to him at that time, making a presentation to him from the Union's Regional Committee.

Jack's unstinting service to the Union locally is without equal and his contribution to the Newark community - through the Royal Air Force Association, the Union and any number of other means - will be greatly missed.

Jack was unquestionably one of the giants who made the T&G the great union that it is today.
