The T&G is the UK's largest 'general' union, which means that we recruit our members from a variety of industries and workplaces. In fact there are few occupations that we do not have members or an interest in.
We are the product of numerous amalgamations with other Trade Unions throughout the twentieth century, all of which gave the T&G its unique stength and breadth of experience.
The T&G prides itself on being a 'members' Union'. Our Union is run by our members: our policies, rules and strategies are decided by them rather than by officials, and all of our policy-making bodies consist of elected members.
As far as the Lincoln District is concerned, the geographical area covered by the Lincoln office extends to Gainsborough and Retford in the north, down to Newark, Grantham and Bourne in the south of the County and eastwards to Wragby and Horncastle.
Workers in all trades and industries can find a natural home in the T&G and all enquiries regarding membership are welcomed.
